Family Traditions

My family has a special recipe for lemon pineapple pound cake that has been passed down for generations. It all started when my mother inherited the recipe from my paternal grandmother. This dessert was a treasured family secret and my grandmother trusted my mother with its legacy.

I remember my mother telling me the stories about learning how to make this cake from my grandmother in their cozy kitchen. The recipe card, yellowed with age and splattered with ingredients, was passed down to my mother and she has entrusted me with the responsibility of keeping this recipe alive for future generations.

The Inspiration

The foundation of everything. “The OG” is named after my grandmother and is the very recipe that started it all. From her hands to mine, this original creation became the heart of my baking — and the base from which Erika’s Isle, Coco’s Blue, and V’s Vine were born. Every new flavor is a branch of her legacy, but this one? This is the root.

Erika has been my island of peace in every storm. Her calm strength and unwavering support have anchored me through the ups and downs of building this dream. "Erika’s Isle" is a flavor that brings that same sense of comfort and serenity — a gentle reminder of her steady love.

Coco brings the joy, the boldness, and the spark. Her creativity and energy have been a guiding light, reminding me to dream big and bake even bigger. “Coco’s Blue” is a flavor full of vibrant notes and a touch of adventure, just like her spirit.

My mother-in-law, Elvinnie, has been a true vine — and full of wisdom. Her belief in me has rooted this business with love and tradition. “V’s Vine” celebrates her grace and guidance, wrapped in a flavor that’s rich and enduring.

This cake has become a symbol of family gatherings and celebrations, with its zesty lemon flavor and tropical twist of pineapple. When I bake it, the sweet aroma fills our home and brings back memories of cherished moments shared over a slice of this delectable dessert. Keeping this recipe alive is not just about the cake itself, but also about honoring the love, history and connections that come with it. It will remain a cherished part of our family for years to come.
